Here for You: Meet Your New Client Advisory Board Member

by | Jan 14, 2019 | Uncategorized

CollegeSource is excited to welcome Drew Lurker, Director of Student Records at Ivy Tech Community College System to the Client Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB serves as a liaison between CollegeSource and our base of users, representing the community by collecting feedback from users, organizing it, and relaying that information to the company. Drew brings a new perspective to the board, representing one of the largest community college systems in the country. He has been an active member of the CollegeSource community and you may have seen him featured in our Transfer Week Webinar Series this past fall.

Drew Lurker CollegeSource-Client Advisory Board Member

CollegeSource welcomes Drew Lurker to the Client Advisory Board.

Drew has an abundance of experience in Academic Advising, Career Advising, Residential Life, and Greek Life. He is a higher education professional passionate about creating positive change in students and the communities to which they belong. Currently, he is a Doctoral Candidate at Indiana State University and holds an M.S. in Student Affairs and Higher Education, and a B.S. in Management Information Systems.
Drew has worked at Ivy Tech Community College for the past 9 years and has managed uAchieve Degree Audit, Planner, and TES for the Statewide Ivy Tech system for the last 3 years. He has lead initiatives to implement the Equivalency Manager in TES at Ivy Tech resulting in over 31,000 established equivalencies and has worked with campus Registrars to use data from uAchieve to support the strategic goals around student success, retention, and recruitment. One of Drew’s recent accomplishments is helping Campus Registrars to use data from degree audits to increase the number of credentials awarded. This past academic year, Ivy Tech awarded over 26,000 credentials—an increase of over 5,000 credentials from the previous academic year.
In addition to Drew’s passion for student services, he is committed to efficiency, so much so that his coworkers often (in good fun) tease him about having a second keyboard that he has programmed to automate repetitive tasks.
We are grateful for Drew’s willingness to work with the CAB and are excited for you all to get the opportunity to work more closely with him, too.
