Whittle Your Way Through a uAchieve Log!

Whittle Your Way Through a uAchieve Log!uAchieve logs can be a little intimidating; I avoided them for a looooooooong time myself. But now we’ve published a log-reading guide to help you chop it up into digestible chunks and increase your uAchieve degree audit troubleshooting skills.
Created primarily as a technical tool, logs can be used by encoders to uncover audit run details that may be otherwise hidden or difficult to visualize. The log reading guide was created for a pre-conference workshop at the 2016 CollegeSource Conference and is now being made available to everyone! This guide provides insight on how logs are created and laid out, why you would want to run one, and how you can use them for more in-depth troubleshooting. Topics include:

  • Running a log
  • Searching
  • Reading table data
  • Reading student data
  • Understanding table processing
  • Tracking phase processing
  • Visualizing requirement and sub-requirement processing
  • Tracking condition code assignment

The guide to log reading is now available in the Support Center (login required) along with our other training guides. An example log file (highlighted and annotated) accompanies the guide.
We hope these documents will help you become more accomplished at troubleshooting and give you more insight into the processing behind your degree audit.
If you’re interested in additional, hands-on training, we host workshops at our Cincinnati office and offer virtual workshops throughout the year. Check out our workshop schedule for more information.
