CollegeSource Creates Free Microsite
For Institutions To Evaluate ITT Courses For Transfer Credit
San Diego, CA: Today CollegeSource made available a public, free-to-use microsite (www.collegesource.com/itt) for institutions of higher education to use in evaluating ITT Technical Institute courses for transfer credit.
“There are thousands of students who thought of themselves as in progress toward a degree at ITT, and maybe even close to finishing, who are now homeless in terms of their education and concerned about transferring their credits” said CollegeSource President Dr. Troy Holaday. “We are eager to work together with the educational community to do our best for these students.”
CollegeSource is in the process of making sure the ITT course and catalog data are as up-to-date and comprehensive as possible. This will make the information available to all current subscribers to CollegeSource® Online and TES® software. The microsite provides access to this data to anyone, with no login or subscription required. The most recent editions of catalog holdings available include 149 catalogs/campuses, totaling more than 26 thousand course descriptions. Efforts to collect archival catalog editions will continue.
“It’s the right thing to do and we are the only ones poised to do it,” Dr. Holaday said, referring to collecting and processing the course data. CollegeSource has been adding to its unique database of college catalog and course data since 1971. Current holdings exceed 82 million course records and 97,000 catalogs. Anyone who uses the microsite has the option to contact us to set up a free account, which means they would have a home catalog, one user, and the ability to create equivalencies. In conjunction with the website release, CollegeSource will be hosting webinars to train new users. Visit http://www.collegesource.com/training/webinars/ to register.
