The 2022 CollegeSource Annual Conference has ended, and we could not be happier with the results! This year’s annual conference was hybrid and split into two events: an in-person conference in San Diego, California, in June and a virtual conference in July. Holding two conferences three weeks apart required a significant amount of work. However, we were excited to provide two opportunities for our user community to be able to participate during a time when many schools are still facing travel and budget restrictions. The lingering uncertainty from the last couple of years led us to Reimagine the Future, our theme for this year’s conference.

Highlights from the Annual Conference
In-Person Conference in San Diego (June 27-30)
The annual conference kicked off June 27th through 30th at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego. Our first in-person annual conference since 2019, this meeting was a little different from our usual format. Our goal easing back in was to host an intimate and intentional meeting for attendees. We scaled down and reworked the program but were still able to offer 45+ sessions, three concurrent breakout sessions, a pre-conference certification workshop, a networking happy hour, and two outdoor yoga sessions. The new schedule worked out perfectly for the approximately 140 clients who joined us from 77 institutions in 24 states.
Tuesday’s Opening Session featured our CEO Kerry Cooper and President Troy Holaday, who shared updates on our products and company. Additionally, we acknowledged the Sourcies Awards winners, and the recipients took the stage to accept their awards, share a few words about their superior work, and thank their colleagues for their contributions. The rest of the conference included a Welcome Reception with tarot card readers and handwriting analysis experts, sessions highlighting product features and enhancements, and plenty of training and networking opportunities.

Virtual Conference (July 18-20)
This year’s virtual conference was held three weeks after the in-person event, July 18th – 20th. It included 22 live sessions and access to 30+ on-demand session recordings split into two tracks: Transfer Solutions and Degree Achievement. We hosted 510 attendees from 41 states and territories, with a total of 250 institutions represented. Altogether there were 356 first-time attendees.
Kerry and Troy reprised their Opening Session to start the conference on Monday. The next three days were full of training opportunities, product updates, networking roundtables, and even virtual chair yoga sessions. Altogether, 84% of the registrants logged into the Virtual Hub, with Opening Session receiving the highest overall attendance. Additionally, User-Added Courses in TES: It Works Both Ways was the highest attended session in the Transfer Track, and uAchieve 5.0 General Updates was the highest attended session for the Degree Achievement Track.

2023 CollegeSource Annual Conference
Planning is underway for next year’s CollegeSource Annual Conference, which will take place June 26 – 30, 2023, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California. We will provide more information in the next couple of months.
