To recognize our most experienced and active members, CollegeSource currently offers four certification programs as professional development opportunities for our TES and uAchieve/DARwin encoding clients. At this time, the following types of certification are available based on an individual’s training record and experience:
TES Basic Certification
To receive TES Basic certification, you must attend the online workshop which is held over two half-days and includes hands-on instruction as well as exercises to complete. Those who finish the course will receive a certification in the mail. The certification course is held monthly and space is limited to 15 people. See the below schedule to register for an upcoming course.
TES Administrator Certification
To become a certified TES Administrator, you must:
- Attend a two-part pre-conference workshop and selected sessions at the CollegeSource Annual Conference
- Have been using TES for at least one year
- Maintain an active position in a TES-licensed institution
Experience should be affirmed by a signed reference letter from a supervisor indicating current employment with a statement that TES is a routine part of the individual’s job. Certificates are awarded at the end of the annual conference.
uAchieve Degree Audit Encoder Certification
To become a certified uAchieve Degree Audit Encoder, you must have been
- Actively encoding for at least the last two years at a licensed u.achieve/DARwin institution
- Attended the uAchieve Basic Encoding Workshop either at our office in Cincinnati, online, or delivered by a CollegeSource specialist at your institution
- Attended the uAchieve Intermediate Encoding Workshop at our Cincinnati, Ohio office or delivered by a CollegeSource specialist at your institution
Individuals who have never attended formal CollegeSource training but have been encoding for more than 10 years may provide evidence of such encoding work history with two references and evidence of community service in place of the training requirement.
uAchieve Transfer Articulation Encoder Certification
To become a certified uAchieve Transfer Articulation encoder, you must have been actively encoding for at least the last two years at a licensed u.achieve/DARwin institution and attended the uAchieve Transfer Articulation Encoding Workshop at our Cincinnati, Ohio office, online, or delivered by CollegeSource specialist at your institution. As listed above, if you have been a TA encoder for more than 10 years you may provide two references and evidence of community service in place of the training requirement.
